Opis:

Richie Mullaney has been facilitating games and activities for children aged 8-14 for over 5 years in a scouting environment based around the following criteria:

• Social Development
• Physical Development
• Intellectual Development
• Character Building
• Emotional Development

Richie will run a variety of different games, like for example commonly played in Britain & Ireland:

Lava Pit:

The students will be spilt into even teams and a “leader” will be chosen at random by Richie. The team will then be given 2 chairs and the aim is to get the whole tem to the other end of the room first.

Rules:

  1. Students cannot touch the floor
  2. Only 2 students on 1 chair at any given time
  3. No member of a team can touch another team’s chair or team-member

Aim/Objective:

Increase students ease at interacting with other student and their team working skills

Spoons:

All students will be split in to 2 teams, each one on opposite sides of the room. 5 spoons will be placed in the middle of the room and a chair at each end of the room. All students will be given an individual number on each team so at the end there will be two number ones, two number nines etc.

Cat & Mouse:

All participants are put into even lines, one line behide the other. Richie will ask the youngsters to spread out their arms so they’re touching the people beside them. If he calls „switch” then everyone turns once to the right and if he shouts „switch” again everyone goes back to their original position. Once this is understood Richie will choose one cat and one mouse. The cat will chase the mouse. Once the cat has caught the mouse, a new cat and mouse are chosen, and so on.
Rules:
Neither the cat, nor the mouse, can pass through the „wall” of people. Only the cat can touch/grab the mouse and visa versa.
