As we look at each if these authors we will learn and use the different idioms and vernaculars of English as the language evolved from the French pronunciation of middle English to the emergence of modern slang and regional accents like cockney. It’s a workshop as much in the history of English as it is in literature.
A Drama Workshop – English through Acting
Event type: Workshop
Facilitator: Simeon Wren
Age: 13+
Level: Pre-intermediate / Intermediate/ Advanced
Time: 60 min.
* On demand contents, level and timing can be tailored to groups’ needs.
The real basics of acting: Is acting about being the coolest in the class? The one who can speak the loudest? The one who can grab the attention? No. It’s about the person in the moment „doing”, just like a game of tennis. Using fun activities, we’re going to learn how to relax and concentrate so we can genuinely follow actions to achieve our objectives, the essence of drama. Don’t worry! When you really „do” it, you really don’t notice the others watching.
